On Sunday 6th May 2018 members of the Rotary Club of Wonthaggi held a working bee to clear the site at South Dudley in preparation for the construction of the long awaited Rotary Shed. Our longest serving member, John Owens, is pictured turning the first of many shovel loads (and tractor buckets) to clear the site for the shed foundations. The shed will greatly assist the Rotary Club of Wonthaggi in storing equipment and our well used and ever faithful BBQ trailer.
Update – foundations are in and all systems go for when the shed kit arrives. It is hoped that the shed will be completed by the end of June and fully functional for the 2019/20 Rotary year.
Bass Coast Shire Grant – Our application for a Bass Coast Shire Community Grant has been approved and we have been allocated a total of $4,000 towards the cost of concreting, electrical work and storage shelving for our new shed (a great team effort) – Big thanks to the Bass Coast Shire.
